The basketball and volleyball stadium, the Sandra Meadows Memorial Arena, holds over 2,000 spectators, and was ranked by USA TODAY as one of the top 10 places in the country to watch high school basketball. Duncanville Panther Baseball Stadium was ranked by the national magazine Baseball America as the 5th Best High School Ballpark Facility in the nation. Additionally, the Bill Savage Athletic Complex provides a 10,000 seat football stadium, numerous practice fields, tennis courts, softball fields, and a natatorium. The Duncanville ISD maintains an outstanding program of athletic activity for students of the school. About 1900 students are involved in the numerous athletic programs that are offered, including football, basketball, volleyball, track, cross‐country, baseball, softball, soccer, swimming, golf, and tennis. To help run this enormous program, the athletic director maintains a staff of 75 persons, ranging from coaches to trainers to administrative support. Duncanville ISD Athletics have consistently excelled in local competition winning numerous district titles in every sporting event. Additionally, the Duncanville athletic teams have won more than twenty state championships since 1975. Compared with high school athletics throughout the country, the Duncanville High School athletic program was ranked #24 in the nation in May 2005 by Sports Illustrated.
