City of Duncanville Public Parks

The existing park facilities in Duncanville include a vibrant combination of fifteen (15) community, neighborhood, special use, and greenway parks. While the current parks inventory is impressive, encompassing approximately 227 acres of park land, several tennis courts, and almost 5 miles of walking and hiking trails, the City is committed to expanding its park system. During the last fiscal year, the City's Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan was updated. This master plan will serve as the primary tool to guide the delivery of park and recreation services in Duncanville during the coming years, and includes a five-year redevelopment plan totaling $9,454,750. During FY06-07, park improvements totaling $3 million will be completed, including additional lighted walking trails, picnic tables, benches, signage, and landscaping.
